We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join the team who will be responsible for accounting and tax preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare personal and corporate tax returns
- Prepare trust returns
- Prepare tax slips
- Compilation engagements
- Bookkeeping functions
- Provide support to the sole practitioner
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business
- Entry level to 2+ years experience
- Knowledge of CaseWare, Profile, QuickBooks, Sage an asset
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Word
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
