Purpose statement:
To provide timely proactive financial evaluation, information and advice that enables commercial teams and management to develop and execute effective plans and take informed decisions
To help build strong financial and commercial awareness within teams and stakeholders including an effective internal control environment
Principal accountabilities:
- To analyse Commercial Financials and Key Performance Indicators on plans and activities, to facilitate effective decision making and improve efficiency and effectiveness of spend. To challenge where appropriate to help drive maximum volume and pricing potential.
To increase the level of financial/commercial awareness within the commercial teams and to raise the level of objectivity behind decisions.
To co-ordinate the preparation of budget/plan/forecasts with support from the team, and to provide accurate and timely information to help Trade Team monitor on-going performance.
To assist management with the development and implementation of practical procedures that ensure a high level of internal control exists and are enforced, both within the department and where appropriate with external parties working on our behalf.
To participate in the negotiation of Trade contracts and performance payments through the building of pricing scenarios and customer margin analysis.
- To provide input to the strategic decision-making process. Actively involved in strategic initiatives, such as investment models for customers.
To ensure accuracy and robustness of the relevant financial accounts, in line with International Accounting Standards with the correct levels of authority
Key Success Factors:
- Effective working relations with all stakeholders
- Establish finance as a business partner for the team
- Consistent and accurate Finance support to all functions
- Monthly production of reliable reporting and budget tracking analyses for internal and external purposes
- Implementation of key financial controls
- Project planning and management
- Demonstrates the value-adding of Marketing Finance throughout the SOP process as well as the involvement in strategic projects
- Flexibility to deal with ad hoc requirements
Key Requirements:
- CPA qualified preferred
- 6-10 years relevant financial and commercial experience
- Commercial Finance / Finance Business Partnering experience (preferred)
- FMCG background (preferred) if not at least working with a manufacturing/ trading organization
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Strong communication skills
- Regional experience (preferred)
- Hands on Experience on SAP (Preferred)
